The focus on regulating artificial intelligence (AI) has sharpened dramatically over the past few years. Around the globe, governments are introducing legislation to address AI-related risks, ranging from automated decision-making to digital addiction fed by AI-driven social media platforms.
This event will map notable steps taken around the world in regulating AI use, from the introduction by the European Union of the world's first comprehensive proposed legislation on AI, to efforts by global standard-setting bodies to develop guidance on the responsible use of AI.
Participants will learn about the core challenges facing governments in terms of instrument design and compliance monitoring, and discover what it will take to overcome these challenges.
