Bringing Information and Data Together to Deliver Value for Canadians

Description

As technologies and techniques to analyze data are expanding exponentially, managing information assets responsibly, effectively, and strategically requires a solid understanding of the skills and needs of data practitioners and information management specialists.

This event brings together leaders from both the information management and data communities to highlight the strengths of both domains and their unique contributions in delivering value for Canadians. Speakers will reflect on the importance of sharing standards and uniting the information and data professions within the Government of Canada to enable more efficient and effective operations.

Participants will learn about many of the opportunities and challenges we must address to incorporate data insights into government operations, services, and policies.

This event is co-hosted by the Information and Data Governance team from the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the GC Data Community from the Canada School of Public Service.

Note: Registered participants who wish to submit questions to the panel in advance may do so via their GC email address before Friday, September 9, 2022, to gcdc-cdgc@csps-efpc.gc.ca.
