Description
In an information economy, one of the most crucial questions is who will own, control and benefit from the vast amount of data being generated. Ensuring trust in the management of data is of absolute importance, and decisive action is needed to secure an open and reliable system of data governance.
In response to these issues, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) convened the Canadian Data Governance Standardization Collaborative, a group of experts and stakeholders from across government, industry and civil society, working together to develop recommendations for clearly defined data governance standardization strategies.
Join the first event of this new series as Chantal Guay, Chief Executive Officer of SCC, and Anil Arora, Chief Statistician of Canada, discuss what data governance means for government, the data community, and Canadians in the information economy of the future.
