Data Rights and Ethics in Decision Making: Beyond Awareness

Description

Data is being generated at a faster rate than ever before. By 2020, there will be about 1.7 megabytes of data created for every person on the planet each second. Data is a valuable commodity in today's digital age, but how do we use it for the public good? How can we exploit its value to better serve Canadians, while also protecting our data rights? What ethical issues do we need to consider?

Join us for a half-day session at the Canada School of Public Service Digital Academy to discuss these and other issues with leading experts in data rights and ethics. This is also your opportunity to hear more about Canada's Data Strategy.
