Description
Innovation in human resource (HR) management plays a vital role in the Government of Canada's ability to attract and retain the talent needed to deliver programs and services to Canadians. As Canada's largest employer, the government must be mindful of satisfying the evolving needs of public service employees, particularly in the three functional areas of pay and benefits, recruitment and retention, and training and development.
This third event in the Government of Canada Innovation Series brings together public service leaders with innovators who oversee and manage human resources programs and initiatives across government.
Participants will learn about overcoming emerging challenges in HR, including technological shifts, labour shortages and requirements for innovation skills. They will also discover how a virtual career fair is being applied as an innovative recruitment approach to help grow a diverse public service, and how successes are being achieved through a novel talent management program.
