International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Towards an Enabled Future

International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Towards an Enabled Future

Celebrate the United Nations' International Day for Persons with Disabilities with a special event, led by Justice Canada and coordinated by several federal departments, under the theme "Towards an Enabled Future." With sessions held in Ottawa and other locations across Canada and opportunities for virtual attendance even more widely available, this event will highlight the benefits of hiring – and working with – persons with disabilities.

The event will explore ways to make the workplace more accessible and discuss how to reinforce the Government of Canada's standing as an employer of choice for this community. Highlights will include "Ability Fairs," showcasing information kiosks hosted by professionals from many organizations, as well as panels and discussions with a variety of insightful speakers, including a national panel held in Ottawa and Winnipeg and broadcast across the country and internationally.

Don't miss this unique occasion to share information and access numerous services in one place.
