Public Service Pride Week: LGBTQ2+ and Intersectionality

Description

The LGBTQ2+ social justice movement has often neglected to recognize the complex and intertwining experiences of its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit and other communities.

In recognition of Public Service Pride Week (August 23 to 27), three queer public servants will share their stories of living with intersecting identities that have affected their daily experiences both personally and professionally. Participants will learn how we can all move forward in respecting and celebrating the true diversity and beauty of the LGBTQ2+ communities.

This event is presented by the Canada School of Public Service in partnership with Public Service Pride.
