Description
Established by Parliament in 2007, Islamic Heritage Month is an opportunity to learn about the rich history of Islam and honour the contributions of Muslims in Canada.
This event will recognize many of the recent contributions of Muslim federal public servants and highlight how all public servants can foster a work environment that respects and values religious diversity. Through a panel discussion, Muslim executives will share their experiences working in leadership positions and the ways in which they have overcome challenges throughout their careers.
Participants will learn what they can do, individually and collectively, to address existing stereotypes and biases towards Muslims and their communities and foster inclusion for Muslim federal public servants.
A live Q&A will follow the panel discussion.
This event is presented in partnership with the Muslim Federal Employees Network.
