Taking Action on Climate Changes
Climate change is affecting our ecosystems, our economies and our way of life. Scientists continue to emphasize the urgency of taking action to reduce our emissions if we are to avoid disruptive change. The recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that limiting global warming to no more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels is critically important to reducing risks.
Canada is committed to taking action to address climate change, consistent with the objectives laid out in the 2015 Paris Agreement. Success will require sustained, whole-of-government efforts.
The School is pleased to present this interactive seminar designed with the needs of executives in mind. Developed in collaboration with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS), this session will present the scientific findings of the IPCC's latest report, discuss the impacts and implications for Canada and how to act on climate change across government.
