Anick Ouellette is a former Assistant Deputy Minister with over 30 years' experience in both the private and public sectors. Her career began in the private sector, where she held leadership roles in finance, administration and customer service at an accounting firm and then a telecommunications company. In 2001, she transitioned to the federal public service, where she held increasingly senior roles, in corporate sectors of various organizations: Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
From 2017 to 2023, Anick served as Assistant Deputy Minister of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and subsequently at Global Affairs Canada (GAC), providing strategic advice and support to ministers and deputy ministers.
Anick was an Executive Faculty Member at the Canada School of Public Services (CSPS) for two years, where she facilitated leadership development programs, courses on change leadership and resilience, and Masterclasses on Strategic Resourcing. For ten years, she was also a lecturer at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, where she taught courses in accounting and auditing.
She is passionate about developing leaders and teams across the public service and promoting physical wellbeing, and a healthy lifestyle amongst her colleagues and loved ones.
