Faculty member: Katarina Cierna

Location: Ottawa, Ontario | National Capital Region which is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg people

Prior to joining the federal public service in 2018, Katarina began her career in human resources in the private sector. Before joining the School, Katarina worked as a manager and human resources business partner.

Katarina has touched on many facets of human resources management, such as talent acquisition, strategic workforce planning, and talent management and development. As a people leader, Katarina has put in practice her knowledge of and experience with people management, leadership, coaching and performance management. She also strives to build and foster a positive team culture in her clients’ teams and her own.

For Katarina, teaching is an opportunity to share her experience, provide tips and guide people leaders on their ever-evolving people management journey.
