Erika Henley began her federal public service career in 2006 at the Department of National Defence through the Management Trainee Program. Over the past 19 years, she has contributed to several other federal organizations, including Communications Security Establishment, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Transport Canada and the Canada School of Public Service.
Throughout her career, Erika has gained experience across the country, having worked in the Pacific, Atlantic, and National Capital Regions. Her areas of expertise include diversity and inclusion, staffing, disability management, policy development (including Memoranda to Cabinet and Treasury Board submissions), mental health and the administration of federal group benefit plans.
Erika has previously served as Co-Chair of the Joint Employment Equity Committee with the National Joint Council. She is currently serving a four-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Public Service Health Care Plan Administration Authority. She has been a public service executive for the past nine years and is thrilled to return to the School to share her passion for lifelong learning, leadership principles, organizational behaviour and public service delivery.
