Michel Mailloux joined the Canada School of Public Service as an executive faculty member in November 2025, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in leadership, management, leadership development and training, communications, talent, and operations management.
Michel began his career in the Canadian Armed Forces after graduating from the Royal Military College Saint-Jean in 1991. Having served as an artillery and public affairs officer, he held various tactical, operational and strategic responsibilities, and his duties brought him to deploy to Croatia and Afghanistan and to support other NATO and Partnership for Peace initiatives and international exercises through the years.
As a veteran, Michel joined the federal public service in 2018 and worked as an executive in communications, corporate services operations, management and oversight, diversity, governance and business planning with Natural Resources Canada.
Michel has a Certified Professional Coach certification from Erickson Coaching International. As a trainer and facilitator, he has been constantly involved with leadership and talent management development throughout his career.
What motivates Michel is the opportunity to support the School's mission by working collaboratively to empower others through learning, to share his experience, and to help develop the next generation of leaders prepared to navigate a rapidly changing environment.
