Transcript: Canada School of Public Service - Who We Are
[A plaque on a grey brick building reads, "Canada School of Public Service École de la function publique du Canada." The animated white Canada School of Public Service logo appears on a purple background. Pages turn, opening it like a book. A maple leaf appears in the middle of the book that also resembles a flag with curvy lines beneath. Video clips show different work areas and desks in an office, as well as a lounge area with couches.]
Narrator: At the Canada School of Public Service, our learners are always top of mind.
[On a purple background, white text displays the narrator's words.]
We work hard every day to design learning that builds individual and organizational capacity to support an engaged and high-performing Public Service.
[The text stops at "capacity," and is replaced with people using technology: a woman scrolls the CSPS Twitter page on a tablet, and three separate groups have online video meetings. One of the meetings has an ASL interpreter.]
We strive to stay on the cutting edge of public service learning, so that we keep innovating to offer more modern and customized learning experiences.
[On a computer screen, a huge, animated room has different stations with information. A panel projected on a wall reads, "Data Conference 2021: An Integrated Data Community for Building Back Better." Dozens of animated people look around at the various exhibits, and a woman sits at a Welcome/Bienvenue desk. A white pop-up box at the bottom of the computer screen reads, "Attend the event's main presentation (plenary)." A purple box in the bottom right corner reads, "About vExpo."
This is replaced with clips of four guest speakers presenting. At a desk, a person goes on a Government of Canada website advertising upcoming events.]
We collaborate with world-class organizations and distinguished speakers to offer learning events and series covering a wide range of topics, issues, and perspectives.
[White text appears on the screen, enumerating various topics:
- Respectful and Inclusive Workplace
- GC and Public Sector Skills
- Indigenous Learning
- Transferable Skills
- Digital Academy]
[Four courses are listed on a website, such as "A Self-directed Guide to Understanding Data" and "Aboriginal Considerations in Procurement."] Course filtering options are listed on the left side of the web page, and a cursor changes the option for course type from "All" to "Online."]
You can now find hundreds of virtual classroom and online courses, as well as learning tools from job aids and podcasts to blogs, in our expanded learning catalogue.
[Another web page is titled "Learning Tools." Nine tools are listed, including "Videos," Library services," "Job aids," and "Mobile apps." On a purple background, white text displays the narrator's words.]
We encourage pride and excellence and believe that Canadians are best served when we as a public service have the knowledge, skills, and competencies to excel in our careers and perform at our best.
[The text stops at "public service," and pages of square photos flip past, all featuring smiling people.]

[White text on a purple background reads, "canada.ca/school. @School_GC. #GCLearning." The animated white Canada School of Public Service logo appears. Its pages turn, closing it like a book. A maple leaf appears in the middle of the book that also resembles a flag with curvy lines beneath. The government of Canada Wordmark appears: the word "Canada" with a small Canadian flag waving over the final "a." The screen fades to black.]
