Executive Leadership Development Program for EX-01 to EX-03
The Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) offers targeted development opportunities for executives at the EX-01 to EX-03 level. The ELDP is a nomination-based program with participants identified through the talent management process.
Designed to foster dynamic, high-performing leaders to meet the evolving needs of the federal public service, the ELDP combines interactive and experiential learning with individual mentoring and peer collaboration. Participants refine their leadership style while broadening their perspectives on leadership, emerging trends and current issues. Participants examine real-world issues and learn from subject matter experts and senior leaders who share best practices and diverse experiences.

About the program
Participants will:
- Meet leaders and experts from various sectors (federal, provincial, territorial, municipal, Indigenous, non-governmental, academic and private sectors)
- Expand their knowledge of Canada and the international context
- Gain access to a collaborative and diversified professional network
- Deepen their understanding of key leadership competencies and mindsets
- Strengthen their cultural connectedness and enhance their self-awareness
- Travel in Canada for a one-week study tour to explore regional realities and meet leaders across different contexts
- Participate in a case study activity and an action learning group
Schedule
The program requires a commitment of approximately 20 days of learning, spread out over 11 months. The program includes:
- 16 days of group learning modules
- 4 additional days allocated for individual and peer learning activities, including psychometric assessments, mentoring, case study group work, and action learning
