A post-pandemic Canada provides the opportunity to rethink the way we operate. Everything from the digital economy, to the future of work, health, the environment and even governance may now be on the table. These impacts will also affect all sectors of the economy.
Policy Horizons Canada undertook research between March and July 2020 on the potential medium- to long‑term consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through desk research, expert interviews, conversations, workshops and literature reviews, it explores some potential changes, disruptions, and shifts that may arise. It also looks at foresight in policy making, including working with scenarios, identifying policy implications, testing assumptions, and practising visions thinking.
