Creating a Human-Centred Government

Description

Governments are being increasingly challenged to solve complex problems that have a direct impact on people. By engaging a diversity of individuals, communities and circumstances in the design and development of solutions, governments can ensure that the services, policies and programs they create meet the needs of the citizens they are meant to serve.

Human-centred design (HCD) is a problem-solving technique that places individuals into the development process. This discussion will explore how HCD creates space for a variety of perspectives and scenarios in designing better solutions. Expert panellists from across the discipline will explain how HCD is being used across government today to address complex challenges.
