The Canada School of Public Service is looking for Government of Canada employees who are subject matter experts and who have acquired over five years of experience in the regulatory field on topics such as policy, analysis, regulatory development, evaluation, and regulatory review. As visiting faculty members, they would facilitate virtual and in-classroom courses.
We are seeking regulatory specialists at the group and level EC-06 or above for the course FON202, and EX-minus 1 or equivalent for the course FON203 who have:
- experience and knowledge on how to perform cost-benefit analysis for regulatory initiatives in the Government of Canada

The Canada School of Public Service is actively looking for Government of Canada employees who are subject matter experts in materiel management who could facilitate a virtual course that may also be taught in the classroom, as a visiting faculty member.
Note that facilitating a course of this nature aligns with the Treasury Board Secretariat's (TBS's) recommended mentoring of junior members by senior members of the Materiel Management community as it pertains to TBS's new Professional Development Framework for Materiel Management functional specialists that is currently under development.
We are seeking materiel management community members who can perform a combination of any of the following tasks:
- assessing materiel needs in relation to program administration and operational requirements
- providing advice to clients on policies and legislation related to materiel requirements
- evaluating methods of meeting materiel requirements
- evaluating total cost of ownership

The Canada School of Public Service is actively looking for Government of Canada employees who are subject matter experts and who can teach in person or in a virtual environment a course on how to identify and address the impacts of systemic racism in the workplace and how to create meaningful change in the federal public service.

Types of faculty members
Visiting faculty members continue to work for their home organization. Their employment tenure does not change. This process does not affect their employee status in any way. They:
- commit to teaching one or more courses at the School for a specific number of days per fiscal year (average of 20 days)
- teach on a voluntary basis, through a collaboration agreement between the School and the instructor's home organization
There is no monetary exchange between the two organizations. The agreement is renewable each year, in December.
Associate faculty members are employees of the Canada School of Public Service. They:
- commit to teaching one or more courses for a specific number of days per fiscal year (average of 20 days)
- teach on a voluntary basis, through a collaboration agreement

Recruitment process

Step 1: The Faculty Recruitment team receives your CV.

Step 2: The Faculty Recruitment team sends you a competency profile form to complete. The Faculty Recruitment team contacts individuals based on the recruitment needs in various fields of expertise.

Step 3: Your CV and competency profile are shared with the School's relevant business line authority, who confirms your expertise and experience.

Step 4: You may be invited to an interview and a simulation exercise.

Step 5: If you are preselected by the business line authority, you will be asked to complete a collaboration agreement and to participate in the training and evaluation for new facilitators joining the School.

Step 6: Once you have successfully completed the training, you will be asked to observe a seasoned faculty member delivering the courses you will facilitate prior to facilitating on your own.
